Building Together, Honouring Louis
Sep 26, 2025
TL;DR
Louis’s story is the heartbeat of REIDframed. Losing him to mental illness shattered me, but it also lit a fire that has never gone out. Out of that pain came a promise: to create stories that matter, to reach people who feel unseen, and to use film as a force for change. REIDframed isn’t just about entertainment — it’s about reframing the way we see each other, one story at a time.
What Happened
Louis wasn’t just my best friend — he was family. We shared dreams, jokes, and late-night conversations that only best friends can understand.
When he lost his fight with mental illness, the world felt darker. I carried a grief that had no map. But in the middle of that heartbreak, I made a vow: if I couldn’t save Louis, I would do everything in my power to make sure someone else didn’t feel alone in their fight.
That’s when REIDframed was born — not just as a studio, but as a living promise.
Why It Matters
This work is about more than views, clicks, or “going viral.” It’s about life. It’s about hope. It’s about building spaces where people can feel less invisible, where uncomfortable truths aren’t silenced, and where stories carry the power to heal.
Every short film, every project, every late-night edit is driven by the same heartbeat: a commitment to Louis.
And here’s the truth: your support doesn’t just help us make content. It keeps that promise alive. It transforms grief into impact, turning one friendship into a movement where stories become lifelines.
How It Propelled Me
Losing Louis could have destroyed me. Instead, it defined me.
It made me fearless about what stories I tell. It pushed me to build a studio that doesn’t shy away from justice, resilience, or the raw human experience. It gave me a mission bigger than myself: to REIDframe the world, one video at a time.
Louis always believed I was meant to do something great. So instead of letting his loss break me, I let it become my fuel.
And now, every time someone tells us one of our films made them cry, laugh, or rethink their life, I know Louis’s story is still alive.
What’s Next
REIDframed is just the beginning.
With REIDframed Plus, we’re creating a home for bold, unapologetic storytelling — a place where stories can breathe without algorithms choking them, and where every member fuels the next story, the next lesson, the next chance to change a life.
Louis’s story was the spark. But the fire? That’s us. You, me, and everyone who believes that stories can change the world.
This is more than a platform. It’s a promise. And the best part? We’re writing it together.
